How to Get There
The wonderfully unspoilt area of
the Trossachs is surprisingly easy to get to.

Go Green
Wherever possible, use public transport and go by bus or train. If you are staying in the Trossachs, try to have a rest from driving and use public transport to get around or get active and hire a bike.
There are a number of places you can hire a bike in the Trossachs. From Ancaster Square and Invertrossachs Road in Callander and at the pier at Loch Katrine. Elsewhere in the National Park bike hire is available in Drymen, Killin and Balloch.

By Rail
The nearest train station is Stirling which has good bus links to Callander.
By Coach
National coach services run to Stirling, from there you can take local services to the Trossachs area. City Link long distance services travel through the National Park. The Edinburgh to Oban service calls at Callander, Killin, Crianlarich and Tyndrum.
By Air
There are national and international flights to Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports, both of which are located a little more than an hour from the Trossachs. There are good public transport links from Edinburgh and Glasgow.
By Car
From the south, there are excellent motorway links to the Trossachs. Routes from the south are the M74 from Carlisle or the A1 from Newcastle. From the north, Stirling can be reached via the A9, A90 and A82 main routes. To plan your journey try the AA Route Planner or RAC Route Planner:
